Lisa McCoid is one of the Midwest’s few design professionals with both an architecture license and interior design certification.
Lisa’s education, experience and expertise in both disciplines enable her to manage projects from the start of construction through the time clients move into their new space. Her involvement from the earliest concept discussions to the final design stages saves clients time, money and stress in building a new home, or remodeling their current one.
Her remarkable ability to both “define and design” space positions her as a uniquely qualified, one-of-a-kind design professional in a competitive marketplace. The multiple skillset has helped her win a variety of design awards, along with recognition in area publications.
Lisa divides her time between remodeling, designing the interiors of new homes, and some commercial work. She has the same goal for all aspects of her business: total customer satisfaction. “The client has to love it,” she notes, adding that interacting with and improving the lives of her clients are what she most enjoys about her profession.
As co-owner of D3 with her sister Julie, Lisa has helped build the firm into the region’s leading referral-based design practice. The company’s goal, according to Lisa, is to be known as a “small, family-owned firm that provides exceptional, creative and unique design in every project.”
D3 is very supportive of and involved with ASID, the design industry’s largest and longest established trade association, and Lisa is past president of the Nebraska-Iowa chapter. She is also actively involved with AIA, the nation’s premier organization for professional architects.
Lisa gained invaluable experience early in her career by handling a variety of responsibilities for leading architecture firms in Wichita, Seattle and Omaha. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University.
She is very involved with several area charities, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Her husband and her also enjoy watching their daughter play volleyball and being apart of their son’s Boy Scouts activities.
